Virginia Moffett-Grinestaff-Morse's Obituary
Virginia Moffett-Grinestaff-Morse, 87, of Mt. Zion, IL, a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus, November 6, 2019 at her residence.
Virginia was born on June 28, 1932 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of J. Warnick and Jennie (Wheeler) Moffett. She was raised on a farm along with 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She graduated from Blue Mound High School and attended Brown’s Business College. She worked as an office manager at Glass specialty Co., and Globe Glass and Trim, in Decatur, IL, before retiring in 1978.
She married Harry E. Morse on November 15, 1974 in Mt. Zion, IL.
She was formerly married to Maynard Grinestaff and was blessed with 4 children, Dale Grinestaff of Decatur, IL, Dale Grinestaff, Kelli Grinestaff Tolle (Cory), Peggy Lowe of Decatur, IL, Mitchell Lowe (Tiffany), Darcy Grinestaff (Kim) of Mt. Zion, IL, Ryan Grinestaff, Brooke Grinestaff, Jordan Grinestaff (Maggie), Payton Grinestaff; Denis Grinestaff of Decatur, IL, Rachel Grinestaff Lawson (John) , 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Janet Brozio (Edwin), Betty Burns, brother-in-law, Gene Schoonover and several nieces and nephews, cousins and all of our friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Edward and Warnick (Willis) Moffett, and sister, Nancy Schoonover, brother-in-law Bill Burns.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, November 11, 2019 at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery.
