Wanda Bush's Obituary
Wanda Caroline Bush, 79, of Bethany formerly of Effingham went home to heaven on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 7:10 AM in her home surrounded by her family.
Wanda was born on May 10, 1936 in Green County, AR the daughter of Marvin and Martha (Bennett) Crockett one of 14 children. She married Ray Arnold Bush on March 11, 1956 in Effingham, IL.
Wanda held many jobs over the years. She was a nursing assistant at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital. She taught at Pathways for 15 years. The last 10 years Wanda enjoyed making jewelry, scarves, and hats. She got great pleasure in giving them away.
Wanda’s greatest joy was her family; her loving husband, Ray; four daughters, Karen Miller (Jim) ; Linda Ryan (Phil); Sam Kluka (Jim); Christina Garrett (Derrick); grandsons, Doug Miller(Aimee); Dustin Miller; Kevin Ryan (Feleesia); Mitchell Ryan; Henry Kluka; Thomas Kluka; great-grandchildren, Jasmine Miller; Brendan Miller; Jonathan Chisler; MaKaylee Ryan; and Urban Ryan.
Wanda’s faith and love for the Lord was something special. She always told her four daughters that they did not belong to her but to God. She felt blessed and honored that God chose her to be the mother of four girls. Wanda felt such peace that all four of her daughters know the Lord.
Wanda’s kind heart and generous soul was felt by everyone who met her. She will be greatly missed.
Honoring Wanda’s wishes, cremation will take place at Graceland/Fairlawn Crematory. There are no public services planned at this time.
