Wanda Cohoon's Obituary
Wanda Waynette Cohoon, 68, of Decatur, passed away, Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Wanda was born June 6, 1945 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Elliott and Erma June (Lasco) Savely. She was raised by her mother and step-father, Robert Riley. She enjoyed making crafts, crocheting, and collecting dolls. In her younger years she enjoyed singing in the church and school choirs.
Wanda leaves behind her son, Timothy Cohoon of Decatur; daughters, Tami Cohoon of Decatur; Maria Cohoon of Decatur; sisters, Marilyn Lane of Decatur; Migayla (Steven) Pugsley of Decatur; granddaughter, Kaylene Cohoon; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dennis Riley; step-father, Robert Riley; and step-mother, Hester Savely.
Services to celebrate Wanda’s life will be 11 am Friday, June 14, 2013 at Oak Grove Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be 10 am Friday, June 14, 2013 at the church. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery and will conclude with a “Flight Home” ceremony. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
