Wanda Shirlene Dilbeck's Obituary
Wanda Shirlene Dilbeck, 91, beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother passed peacefully into heaven on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 11:50 PM. She was at home surrounded by her family and their love.
Mrs. Dilbeck was born June 27, 1933, to James and Ada Smith in Decatur, IL. She married Donald E Dilbeck on January 20, 1955. Mrs. Dilbeck was a homemaker caring for five children, and she worked a variety of jobs throughout her lifetime before retiring from Morgan Transportation Company.
Mrs. Dilbeck enjoyed reading, crocheting, embroidery, her family, and watching her grandchildren grow up and become parents. In the past 3 years she was blessed with 6 great children – Beau, Sawyer, Beckham, Brynlee, Natalie, and Hudson. Each one brought a big smile to her face and warmed her heart.
Mrs. Dilbeck is survived by her daughters: Kimberly Beiler (Storm), and Pamela Hood (Kerry); Sons: Douglas Dilbeck (Penny), and Michael Dilbeck (Debbie); Granddaughters: Brandi Hunt (Jacob), Caitlyn Phipps (Andrew), Hailey Thompson (Matthew); Jennifer Dilbeck; Grandsons: Jason Dilbeck (Katie), Joshua Dilbeck (Carrie); Bonus granddaughters: Shelby Beiler (Brady Reed), Kerrigan Scharfenberg (Gage); Bonus grandson: Carsen Hood; and 10 Great Grandchildren.
Mrs. Dilbeck was preceded in death by her husband Don, son Eric, parents, five brothers and three sisters.
Family will hold a Memorial Celebration of Life at a later date. The family would like to thank Melissa Edwards APRN, Jakeala Medical Assistant, Community Homecare, Traditions Palliative and Hospice Care Teams, Staff of The Glenwood Assisted Living in Mt Zion, IL.
