Wanda Reed's Obituary
Wanda L. Reed was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2025, at the age of 88.
She was born in Decatur, IL, on September 7, 1936, to the late Dolly and Arthur Kingery. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one husband; four sisters, Helen, Alice, Betty, and Patricia; two brothers, David Kingery and Clay Covey; her only son, Kevin Stevens; and two great-grandchildren.
Wanda will be remembered for the endless kindness that she showed others. She was always there for family and friends when needed. She was head of the Galloway Neighborhood Watch for years and was known as Grandma Wanda to children throughout the neighborhood.
She is survived by three daughters, Vickie (Joe) Page, Cindy (Mark) Bleavins, and Jodi (Gary) Laskowski; six grandchildren, Michael Bleavins, Jeremy (Trisha) Bleavins, Shannon (Catee) Trosper, Nicholas (Kylie) Trosper, Lana (Wayne) Douglass, Joshua Laskowski, and Cody Laskowski; eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Wanda will be laid to rest next to her son Kevin at Macon County Memorial Park in Harristown, IL. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025. Please check back for time and location details, they will be published as they are arranged.
