Wanda Tarter's Obituary
Wanda B. Tarter, 85, of Decatur passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017 in Heritage Health in Mt. Zion.
Wanda was born on December 9, 1931 in Decatur the daughter of Floyd and Emma (McCoy) Hendrickson. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Zion. She enjoyed Bingo, eat at the Mexican restaurant on Friday nights, and watching Cubs baseball, racing, and spending time with her family. She married Willie K. Tarter they were married for 65 years. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2013.
Surviving are her son, Kenneth D. Tarter of Decatur; daughters, Glenda K. West (Jerry) of Florida; Diane K. Southwell (Scott) of Decatur; brother, Sonny Hendrickson (Mary) of Decatur; 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, 1 brother and one sister, and 2 daughters Lisa and Mary Ellen.
Graveside service to celebrate Wanda life will be 10 AM Monday, July 3, 2017 in Graceland Cemetery.
