Waneta Forcum's Obituary
Decatur-Waneta Forcum, 92, of Decatur, passed away at 6:20 a.m. Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Decatur Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
Services to celebrate Waneta’s life will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Howerton officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment with “Flight Home” Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Waneta was born September 14, 1917 in Herrick, the daughter of Lewis and Alice (Rhodes) Matson. She was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. She married Archie Daniel Forcum in 1934 in Decatur. He preceded her in death March 25, 2006.
She leaves behind her daughter; Patsy Harding of Decatur, son; Archie Ray Forcum and wife Marilyn of East Peoria, grandchildren; Mike and wife Tammy Forcum, Sr., Marty Forcum, Sr., Michelle Forcum, Tammy Leigh, John Harding, Jr., and Kevin Harding, great-grandchildren; Brittany Leigh, Shelby Harding, Shyanne Harding, Jonathan Harding, Baylee Cunningham, Michael Forcum, Jr., Jeremy Forcum, Marty Forcum, Jr., Holly, and Cory.
She was reunited in heaven with her parents, husband, son; Ronald L. Forcum, and brothers; Alfred, Bernard, and Loren Matson.
