Waynona Miller's Obituary
Waynona Kay Miller, 66, of Decatur passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Kay was born December 2, 1946 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Ernest and Mable (Stanley) Eckart. She was a long-time manager at Steak and Shake working at both Decatur and Forsyth locations. She was a life-long selfless giver of both her time and care to anybody who needed it.
Kay leaves behind her son, Rodney (Marley) Miller of Mt. Zion; daughters, Teresa (Thomas) Cohoon of Decatur; Brenda (Jeff) Foster of Florida; brothers, Larry Eckart of Decatur; Donald Stanley Eckart of Decatur; Ernest Eckart of Decatur; Daniel Eckart of Decatur; and grandchildren, Daniel, Ashley, Amanda, Whitney, Gregory, Mackenzie, and Jennifer.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert Eckart; Bill Eckart; Jack Eckart; Roland Eckart; and sisters, Eleanor Levon Eckart; and Nadine Louise Eckart.
Services to celebrate Kay’s life will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Monday, September 2, 2013. Burial will be at Mt. Gilead. Memorial contributions in memory of Kay may be made to the family.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Pabalate, Dr. Arnold, Dr. Kairouz, Dr. Sobol, Dr. Chadwick, and nurse Kendall for all their compassion and care.
