Wilbur L. Himstedt's Obituary
Decatur-Wilbur L. Himstedt, 77, of Decatur formerly of Niantic passed away on Wednesday August 10, 2011 in Aspen Ridge Care Center.
Wilbur was born December 10, 1933 in Decatur, IL the son of Raymond and Emily (Miller) Himstedt. He was a member of Niantic United Methodist Church and was a bell ringer for the Salvation Army for 20 years. He was also a retired farmer.
Surviving are are his brother Roger Himstedt (Winona) of Eddyville, KY; sisters, Jenine Scollon of Trafford, PA; Janice Rodriguez of Sarasota, FL; and 10 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Joyce (Otis) Himstedt.
Funeral service celebrating Wilbur's life will be 11:00 am Monday, August 15, 2011 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Rev. C.W. Reneker officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Berea Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Niantic Methodist Church.
