William "Bill" Bailey's Obituary
Decatur-William “Bill” Bailey, 77 of Tucson, AZ formerly of Decatur, passed away 7:58 pm Friday, January 15, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Graveside services to celebrate Bill’s life will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, January 23, 2010 in Graceland Cemetery with Pastor Roger Cox officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services from 1 – 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment with “Flight Home” ceremonies will be in Graceland Cemetery. Bill was born October 8, 1932 in Maroa, IL the son of Elzie and Vera (White) Bailey. He was a graduate of Maroa High School. Bill and Shirley Nash married on July 25, 1952 in Decatur. Shirley preceded Bill in death on December 1, 2000. Bill was employed as a salesman for different food and beverage distributors in the area. Bill enjoyed going out to eat and visiting family and friends.
He leaves behind his son; Marco Bailey of Tucson, AZ, daughter; Kim Petrikowski of Tucson, AZ, two brothers; Elzie Jr. (wife – Jean) Bailey of Tucson, AZ and Jim Bailey of Tucson, AZ; two sisters Jane (husband – Bill) Gregory of Benson, AZ and Pat Castonguay of Minnesota; two grandchildren Stephen and Brandon both of Tucson, AZ.
Bill was reunited in Heaven with his wife Shirley and his parents Elzie and Vera.
Bill was deeply loved and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
