William Larry Daugherty's Obituary
William Larry Daugherty, 73, of Decatur, IL, passed away on July 26, 2024.
Larry was born on September 23, 1950 to William Ollie and Leola (Seaton) Daugherty in Glen Dean, Kentucky.
On November 13, 1978, he married his loving wife, Carolyn (Knierim) Daugherty. They shared 45 years together.
Larry retired from Morgan Distributing in 2015.
Larry loved watching NASCAR racing, camping with his family, taking care of his yard and most of all having fun with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Larry is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his sons, Cory Daugherty, Jeff Neeley and his daughter Tracey Waite (Aaron), Grandchitdren, Dylan Daugherty, Ryne Neeley, Kendra Barnes, Great Grandchildren Kase and Aubrey Barnes. His sisters, Linda Bro (Kenny), Vicki Hale (Larry), Tanya Phillips (Jimmy); Brother Terry Daugherty (Polly).
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Gail Marsh.
We will miss your unconditional love and we will remember all the fun and laughter.
Funeral services for Larry will be held on Thursday, August 1, at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm with a service to follow at 1pm. Burial in Graceland Cemetery will follow the service.
In Leiu of flowers donations can be made in Larry's name to St. Judes Children Hospital.
