William Ellis' Obituary
Decatur- William “Keith” Ellis, 64, of Decatur, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 in St. Mary’s Hospital.
Keith was born June 17, 1951 in Brownstown, IL, the son of William Edward Ellis and Mary Jane (Roberts) Ellis. Keith worked as a laborer in construction for many years. He was a retired member of the Local 159 in Decatur. He enjoyed gambling, motorcycles, and classic cars. He was loved dearly, and will be missed, as he was a loving father and grandfather.
Keith leaves behind his two sons, Brian Ellis, Edward Ellis; daughters, Shawna (David) Gordon, Briana (Corey) Whitson, Billie Castleman; four brothers; six sisters; eleven grandchildren, plus one on the way, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, two brothers, and one sister.
Graveside services to celebrate Keith’s life will be 2 p.m. Monday, August 10, 2015, at Fairlawn Cemetery, and conclude with the “Flight Home Ceremony”. Flowers may be sent to Graceland Funeral Home.
