William England's Obituary
Decatur-William “Bill” England, 79, of Decatur passed away at 5:23 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009 in Decatur Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.
A celebration of William’s life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 4, 2009 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Pastor Harry Kirk and Pastor Mike DeBrun officiating. Visitation will one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment with Flight Home Ceremony will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Bill was born April 20, 1930 in Ramsey, Illinois the son of Frank and Edna (Depew) England. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by Caterpillar as a tool grinder retiring after thirty-three years of service. He married Judith Trimmer December 22, 1956 in Decatur. He enjoyed fishing with his son-in-law and William was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
He leaves behind Judith, his beloved wife of over fifty-two years, one daughter; Sheila (Ken) Munjoy of Kankakee, IL, three grandchildren; Matthew, Jennifer, and Jillian, three great grandchildren; Reanna, Andrew, McKenna; two brothers; Jack (Janice) England of Decatur, IL , Gene England of Flora, IL, two sisters; Lavern Gibson of Hillsboro and Hazel Farber of Minneapolis, MN.
He was reunited in heaven with his parents, his daughter; Tina Marie , four brothers; Sam, Toni, Oscar, JR, two sisters; Rosie Hoskins and Betty Cothern.
