William Thomas Lichtenwalter's Obituary
Decatur-William Thomas Lichtenwalter, 90, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away November 3, 2010 at his home with his wife by his side.
Services to celebrate Bill's life will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment with military honors and 'Flight Home' Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 2200 Broadway Street Boulder, CO 80302-4897. Bill was born in 1920 in Toledo, Illinois, the son of Thurman and Bessie (Bloominger) Lichtenwalter. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the battleship Nevada during W.W. II. He received his Bachelors in Science & Business Managements from the U of I. He also received his Bachelors in Pharmacology from the University of Colorado. He was previously employed as a pharmacist. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Boulder, CO. He enjoyed gardening, walking, traveling, and golf. He married Rosalind Wilber in 1945.
He leaves behind Rosalind, his beloved wife of over sixty-five years, daughters; Linda Bryant and husband Richard of Castle Rock, CO, Diana DeRuiter and husband David of Casper, WY, grandchildren; Allison Jones, Paul Bryant, Adam DeRuiter, and Amanda DeRuiter, great-grandchildren; Aylee, Chase, and Aniya, brothers; David and wife Sue of Glen Ellyn, IL, Galen and wife Pat of Clinton, IL, and Gerald and wife Faye of New Port Richey, FL, sisters; Dora Von Limbach of Tucson, AZ and Helen French of Clovis, CA, and many nieces and nephews.
He was reunited in Heaven with his parents, brothers; Everett and John, and sisters; Chalis, Lois, and Ruth.
