William L McCoskey's Obituary
William L. McCoskey of Decatur, IL passed away on January 16, 2018, peacefully in his home.
Bill was born February 6, 1949, in Decatur, IL to William F. and Norma J. (Rokash) McCoskey. He graduated from MacArthur High school in Decatur IL. Bill was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the Navy abroad the USS Ranger. Bill worked for Cooper Brother Construction for 39 years. He married Sally Olmstead on August 11, 1973.
Bill is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sally; daughter, Amy McCoskey; sons, Billy (Petra), and Kenny (Jennifer) McCoskey; sisters, Pam Chandler and Donna (Kevin O’Laughlin); brother, Steve McCoskey; grandchildren, whom he loved dearly Erin, Braden, Ava, Liam, Breayanna, Aiden, and Vivian.
Bill was preceded in his death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Tincie McCoskey and his parents, Bill and Norma McCoskey.
Visitation services will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, January 23rd at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home in Decatur, IL. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association 2141 W White Oaks Dr # A, Springfield, IL 62704.
