Willie Sam Johnson's Obituary
Willie Sam Johnson Jr, 70, of Decatur, IL, passed away December 18, 2020 at
Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Sam was born March 31, 1950, the son of Willie Sam Johnson Sr & Florence Voss
Johnson.
He married he Queen & Soulmate Labirtha Perry on March 14, 1980.
He was the owner of Johnson & Perry Clean Up Shop for several years. After he
closed his detail shop, he went to work at Bob Brady as an auto detailer for many
years and retired from Bob Brady after 15 years of service. His occupation was
also his passion as he had a love for detailing cars to make them appear special.
He also loved cooking BBQ, talking with others, and spending time with his family.
He always seemed to have a nickname for everyone he met.
Surviving are his children, Alvitta Killion (Turnipseed Schnette) of Decatur, IL,
Tuntra Mathews (Presse) of Decatur, IL, Torressa Perry (Brett) of Decatur, IL, Son
Dexter Johnson of Brownsville Tenn., Martha Mae, Lucille, Verniece Johnson,
Florida West of Brownsville Tenn, Carolyn West of Decatur, Daniel Johnson, Will
Owens of Decatur, Curtis Johnson, Jerry Johnson of Brownsville Tenn, Sister in
laws Linda Bond, May Killings of Decatur, 10 grandkids, 15 great grandkids and a
host of nieces & nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Labirtha Johnson, son, Sam Jr; and
daughter, Michelle Killion, Ola Mae Johnson sister, Elaine Elem sister-in-law,
Johnny Johnson brother, Walter Perry Jr & Marvin Perry Sr brother in laws,
grandson & great granddaughter
Visitation will be held from noon – 2 PM Wednesday December 30, 2020 at
Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. CDC Guidelines will be observed, allowing no
more than 10 visitors at a time. Masks must be properly worn.
Cremation will be provided by Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home following
visitation.
