Willie T. McMiller's Obituary
Decatur – Willie T. McMiller, affectionately known as “Dub,” 87, of Decatur, IL, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Eastview Healthcare and Senior Rehab, Sullivan, IL. leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Willie was born in Indianola, MS, on June 29,1939, to J.D. McMiller and Clara Baker. He worked in construction and loved to sing and spend time with family. Willie was the lead Singer in a band named “Ebony Son’s of Soul.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. McMiller and Clara Baker; Grandparents Lewis Baker and Eva Green; his two sons, Ricky Bush Sr. and Adrian Lamar Woodson; his two sisters, Lou Ethel Wright and Martha Ree Boey; Neice Brenda Boey, and his great-nephews, Darrell Boey, Micheal Boey and Charles Boey.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted sons, Mikel (Linda) Barker of Cleveland, Ohio, and Deshaun Woodson of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren and a loving great-grandfather to 17 great-grandchildren.
Willie also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, extended family members, and many dear friends whose lives were enriched by his presence.
Willie will be remembered for the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the lasting impact he made on his family and friends. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be from 10 am until the service time of 11 am, on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home.
