Wilma Bird's Obituary
Decatur-Wilma Bird, 83, of Decatur, passed Monday, November 04, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
Wilma was born July 20, 1930 in Adams County, Illinois, the daughter of Robert and Flossie (Noble) Waters. She was a home health aide that would sit and care for folks in their home. She loved to embroider. She married James Bird April 21, 1961. He preceded her in death February 5, 1985.
Wilma leaves behind her children Kristine Robertson, Kathy (W.D.) Farmer, James Bird, Robert Bird, Brenda (Moses) Campbell, Tina Reynolds, and Darrell (Jillian) Howerton, brother Norman (Nancy) Waters, eleven grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Robert E. Waters.
Services to celebrate Wilma’s life will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2013 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
