Wilma Faye Davis' Obituary
Decatur- Wilma Faye Davis, 82, of Decatur, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Wilma was born February 17, 1935 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of John Henry and Harriet Martha (Green) Hall. She was a member of the Second Church of God and enjoyed sewing, embroidery, cooking, and singing.
Wilma married Rev. Vernon Jack Davis Sr. in 1956. He preceded her in death October 20, 2001.
Wilma leaves behind her children Maxine Ann (Dan) Blancett, James Roger (Penny) Davis, John Wesley Davis, Eva Dightmon, Norma Tyus, Vernon Davis Jr., James Davis, Anna Marie Jones, and Rose Marie Jones, sister Marjorie Hall, twenty grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
Wilma was reunited in Heaven with her parents, husband, and 12 siblings.
Services to celebrate Wilma’s life will be 11 AM Wednesday, June 21, 2017 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10 –11 AM Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery and conclude with the “Flight Home” ceremony. Memorials are suggested to donor’s choice.
