Wilma June Lowe's Obituary
Decatur-Wilma J. 'June' Lowe, 86, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Heritage Manor in Mt. Zion with her family by her side.
Services to celebrate June's life will be 11 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2012 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment with 'Flight Home' Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made the charity of the donor's choice.
June was born June 10, 1925 in Du Quoin the daughter of George and Linda (Hartley) Campbell. She was previously employed with Kelly Potato Chips retiring in 1977. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed her grandchildren, spending time with her family, and her church. She married William E. Lowe December 25, 1945. He preceded her in death November 29, 1980.
She leaves behind her son Myron 'Mike' Lowe of Decatur, daughter Linda Thevenot and husband Ray Jr. of Decatur, brother Arlen Barnes of Tennessee, grandchildren Renee Lloyd, Christa Hawkins, Nathaniel Goforth, Juneann Ryan, Ray Thevenot III, Jason Thevenot, Karrie Yates, and Shay Wright, fourteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents, husband, daughter Frances Yates, and two brothers.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. McCormack and the nurses and staff at Heritage Manor for all of their loving care.
Also, heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at Heritage Manor that sang Amazing Grace while June was being taken to her Heavenly home.
