Wilma L. Wiley's Obituary
Wilma L. Wiley, 93, of Decatur, passed away Monday, September 30, 2019 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Wilma was born December 23, 1925, in Decatur, the daughter of William and LeElla (Dyer) Mundwiler.
Surviving are her son, Gary (Lee Ann) Wiley of Decatur; and Nancy Kelly of Oakley; her grandchildren, Tina (Danny) Leigh, Jason Maxwell, Travis Wiley, Tina Wilhem, Frank (Shelly) Kelly; numerous great-grandchildren and great–great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harry E. Mundwiler. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, James and Donald Wiley, and a brother, William Mundwiler.
Wilma was a member of the First Christian Church for many years. She was also a member of the Ladies of Moose. She enjoyed watching classical movies and dancing. She was a big fan of young John Wayne and Gary Cooper. She also was a fan of Elvis Presley. She loved to collect dolls and stuffed animals. She will be dearly missed by her friends. She left behind her beloved dogs. She will never forget when Elvis Presley was able to renew her and Donald’s wedding vows in Las Vegas.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Generations of McKinley Court for their care and compassion they gave Wilma.
A Celebration of Wilma’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Activity Department of Generations of McKinley Court.
