Yvonne A Callaway's Obituary
Decatur-Yvonne Callaway, 84, of Decatur passed away at 6:20 pm on Monday November 28, 2011 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Yvonne was born on December 31, 1926 in Armington, IL the daughter of George and Myrtle (Bailey) Leaser. She was a member of Moundford Free Methodist and also attended Maranatha. She was a member and Past President of the PTA when the children were young. She was a devoted Christian lady and a wonderful mother who cared for everyone. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and the Restless Leg Society. She married Franklin Callaway on March 3, 1946 in Peoria, IL and was co-owner of SCC Upholstery.
Surviving are her husband, Frank; son, Franklin ' Lee' Callaway Jr. (Janice) of Decatur; daughters, Carol Callaway of Hobart, IN; Leesa Reed (Rodney) of Decatur; 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded by her parents.
Services to celebrate Yvonne's life will be 10 am Saturday, December, 3, 2011 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home and conclude with the 'Flight Home' Ceremony. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Restless Leg Foundation.
