Decatur – Larry Alan Lamb, 73, of Decatur, passed away, Friday, October 20, 2017.

Larry was born October 26, 1943, in Hamilton, OH, the son of Robert and Minnie (Moore) Lamb. A U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and member of American Legion Post #105, Larry worked as an accountant at F.S., GROWMARK and ADM. He married Shirley F. Treadway, April 21, 1973 in Bloomington.

Surviving is his wife, Shirley; daughters: Michelle Baer of Glen Carbon, Lisa (Chris) Selsor of Fenton, MO, Jennifer (Ken) Thoms and Kristin (Jason) Krajewski of Decatur; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; brother, Jon Lamb of Bloomington.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

In honor of Larry’s wishes no services will be held. Memorials may be made in his honor to the charity of your choice.

  1. Larry was one of the best–always fun, always gentle, always dependably honest. He exemplified the meaning of "gentleman" while, at the same time, being enjoyable. I will miss his enjoyment every time the rest of the class of 1961 gets together.

  3. sorry, we never were able to get together at the reunions. i wasn't allowed to go. we had soooo many fun times together in and out of high school. i have thought of you many times. i knew you were in Decatur, i should have tried to find you. shame on me.
