Marjorie A. Pryor

Marjorie A. Pryor, 83, of Decatur, passed away Sunday evening, February 18, 2018 at Decatur Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. Marjorie was born November 10, 1934 in Decatur, IL the daughter of Carl and Helen (Wilson) Green. She worked at Standard Oil, Cerro Gordo School District, and retired from St. Mary’s Hospital after many years of service.

She was a member of the LaPlace United Methodist Church in LaPlace, IL. She was also an avid Cardinal baseball fan and loved college basketball, especially Illini basketball, as well as, the Chicago Bulls. She enjoyed playing the piano, Skip-Bo and dominoes for fun.

Marjorie was a loving mother and wife of 64 years. She married her husband, Delbert on November 8, 1953 in LaPlace, IL.

Marjorie leaves behind her sons Joe (special friend Mary Beth), Rob (Susan), and David Pryor, brothers Jim (Becky) Green, Dan (Judy) Green, and grandchildren Derek (Courtney) Pryor, Shannon (Dan) Jedlicka, Marcus (Chelsea) Durand, Nicole Stukins, Hannah (Timothy) Rodgers, Ethan Pryor, Sarah Pryor, Heather Bolsen, and Sarah Durand, great-grandchildren Madilyn and Carter Pryor, Lylah Jedlicka, Grace and Gabe Durand, Braylon and Hudson Stukins and Nolan Krigbaum, Hailey Bolsen, Elizabeth and Kaitlyn Durand, and Ramona Rodgers. She was a very proud loving grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Delbert.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home in Decatur, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the funeral home.

Burial will be at LaPlace Cemetery.

Memorials: LaPlace United Methodist Church.

    We are so sorry to hear about your loss of your Mother and also recently your Father. Please accept our heartfelt sympathy. Many memories of them at the campground. They were the best grand marshalls of the parade thru the campground.
