  1. I am so sorry to hear of Ron’s passsing. I live in Decatur but I was actually baptized by Rev Ron Allin over 50 yrs ago when we lived in the Chicago area. I was so suprised when I learned he was at First Presbyterian in Decatur. He was always such a joy to run into and he will be missed.

  4. Ron Allin brings up very fond childhood memories. He baptized me, confirmed me, and would have performed my wedding service, but for a date conflict. He had a wonderful sense of humor. First Pres was a warm and friendly place with him at the helm. His passing saddens me more than I would have expected. Cheer to a good life led. My warmest wishes to his family.

  5. I have so many fond memories of 'RevRonn', having spent countless hours at the Allin home during my high school years. My most sincere condolences to the entire Allin family, especially to my Eldorado cruising buddy, Linda.

  6. Mr. Allin loved Irish poems. I know this because he recited it to me in the matter of a "Thankyou to me" one day after me helping him. This I believe was one of a favorite of his called: "Irish Blessing" May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. My the sun shine warm up In your face. And the rains fall soft up In your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hallow of His hand.
Mr. Allin recited this Irish blessing poem to thank me. I will always remember this poem and how kind of a person Mr. Allin was. In memory of Mr. Ronn Allin
