Peter Wesley Engstrom

Peter Wesley Engstrom, 45 passed away on January 29, 2022 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Peter was born on 03/01/1976, in Ann Arbor, MI, the son of Leonard Donald and Marilee (Fischer) Engstrom. He is preceded in death by his mother and father and his Grandma and Grandpa Beasley. He is survived by his wife Shirley Engstrom, son Michael Wesley Engstrom (Kankakee, IL) and daughter Rebecca Moretti (Decatur, IL) along with his two grandchildren Maggie and Alvin Reynolds. He is also survived by his brothers David Fischer (Mattoon, IL), Marc (Michelle) Engstrom (Indianapolis, IN) and Christopher Engstrom (Mattoon, IL). Along with his nieces Amber & Kelsy Engstrom and nephews Dalton Barkeno & Andrew Mattingly. Lastly, he was survived by one uncle, Peter W. Fischer & three aunts, Rachel (Rick) McQuown, Sarah Lomax and Donalea Leathers. Peter had a kind and loving heart with a touch of orneriness. He loved spending time with his family and adored his grandchildren. His favorite pastime was watching cartoons with his grandchildren and creating pencil art. He always seemed to have a smile on his face and positive outlook on life and loved the Lord. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 5:00 PM at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitations will be held on the same day from 3-5 pm. There will be no burial, only cremation after services are held. Memorials can be made in Peter's name to the Multiple Sclerosis Association.
