Stephen Dean Smith, 83, of Decatur, IL passed away January 12, 2022 at his residence. Stephen was born May 7, 1938 in Decatur, IL, the son of Russell Dean and Alma Martha Lida (Lightski) Smith. Stephen was a veteran of the US Navy. Following his military service, Stephen maintained a lifetime career at Caterpillar Tractor Company. Cremation rites will be accorded.
