Alberta Bradford's Obituary
ARTHUR- Alberta “Bert” Bradford, 95 of Arthur, passed away peacefully at 7:15 am, on Friday, June 19, 2026, while at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Graveside service to celebrate Bert’s life will be held at 2PM Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the Arthur Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the Arthur United Methodist Church or to Shiners Children’s Hospital, 4400 Clayton Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63110.
Bert was born on February 13, 1931, in Arthur, the daughter of Claude and Marie (Miller) Watson. Bert married the love of her life, Richard G. “Dick” Bradford on July 19, 1953, at the Jonathan Creek Christian Church. They celebrated 71 years of marriage before he passed away on October 18, 2024. Bert was a member of the Arthur United Methodist Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she was Worthy Matron. She loved quilting, sewing and enjoyed making scrapbooks for her family and her grandchildren. She devoted her life to taking care of her family. Dick and Bert’s house was filled with family and friends, telling stories and sitting on the front porch and drinking sweet tea.
Survivors include her two daughters, Valerie Chancellor of Arthur; Michele and husband Chad Price of Arthur; grandchildren, Corrine (Bradley) Vanausdoll of Arthur; Gabrielle (Doug) Morrow of Arthur; Whitney (Hank) Schrock of Fort Campbell, KY; Allison (Dylan) Bilyeu of Sullivan, Indiana; Dylan Price of Arthur; great-grandchildren, Marcus (Jordan), Dalton John (Emily), Maleyna, and Donovan Vanausdoll; Julius Morrow; Justine Chancellor; Bryar Bilyeu; Wyatt and Tripp Schrock; and sister-in-law; Barbara Eckstein of Arthur.
Bert was preceded in death by her son, Brian Bradford; and son-in-law, John Chancellor.
