Mr. Lehman, Thank you so much for your comments and your memories of my Dad. Andy Burkett
It was an honor to have had an opportunity to work on Decatur street projects with Al quite a few years ago. He was Union Steward for the Cement Finishers and I was with the City of Decatur Engineering Division doing layout staking. I had gotten some raffle tickets to sell, I think from the local dog club, they were priced at 50 cents each or 5 for $2.00. Al said "It only takes one to win". A few days later I delivered the First prize to his home. That expression has stuck with me and has been a pleasant reminder of Al for these last 50 years. I feel better for having known Al.Sincerely wishing you comfort and blessings,David R. Lehman
