Bernice was one of Decatur's treasures. She will be remembered ever so fondly by us.
My condolences to Bernice's family. I first met Bernice at the Decatur Memorial Hospital's Thrift Store. She seemed to thoroughly enjoy her job meeting and working with the public, and re-arranging the merchandise. She was very good at all three. I will miss her smile and greeting me by name. I am not surprised that she did not want a public funeral, but I would have been there. A friend, Marge
Bernice was a treasure. She was kind, generous, helpful, and had a great sense of fun. She lit up whatever room she was in. We, in Decatur, were so lucky to have her in our lives. She will be remembered with endearing fondness.
I have fond memories of working with Bernice on Tri Delta functions. She and Dale were strong supporters of the local chapter, for which many are very grateful. My sympathy to all of the family.Barbara Hazelrigg (Mrs. R.H.)
MY CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY OF BERNICE. I MET HER ABOUT EIGHT YEARS AGO AT THE DMH THRIFT SHOP SHORTLY AFTER MOVING HERE FROM PA. THAT DAY, SHE ENCOURAGED ME TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER AND TO REQUEST SERVICE AT THE SHOP. FROM THAT POINT ON ,WE WORKED TOGETHER AND ENJOYED EACH OTHER'S COMPANY. I SHALL MISS HER.
My sincerest condolences to all the members of Bernice's family. I knew Bernice through our work at the DMH Thrift Shop and thoroughly enjoyed our time together. We shall all miss her and remember her with fondness.
Bernice was gracious and kind, I always enjoyed visiting with her and Dale. A great lady.
The Fulton's are very sorry to hear about Bernice' passing. Gosh we had good times together when we were able to see one another. Not as often as we would have liked, but it was great fun when we did. I did have the opportunity to see her this past September, and as always, she wouldn't let me take a picture. NO PICTURES she said. We did have a nice visit and am glad we did.Rich & and I enjoyed our visits to Crea & Cobb. Many memories including those on Macon. Our very best, care for her please, Bernices' friend, sister, Audrey. We love you all very much. A great family.Teensie
