Decatur- Bernice A. Larrick, 89, of Decatur, passed away Friday, January 27, 2012 at Fair Havens Christian Home.
Respecting Bernice’s wishes a private family service will be held. Internment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the donor’s choice.
Bernice was born April 22, 1922 in Decatur, Illinois the daughter of Samuel J. and Edna (Christison) Bradfield. She attended Millikin University and was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. She was a life member of both the Decatur Memorial Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital auxiliaries, and a long time volunteer at the DMH Thrift Shop. Bernice was a life long member of the First United Methodist Church of Decatur. She married M. Dale Larrick on December 28, 1941 in Decatur; he preceded her in death January 22, 2003.
She is survived by her son; Roger (Kay) Larrick of Rockford, daughters; Louise Ware of Granite City, and Barbara (John) Mies of Urbana, sister; Audrey Borchers of Decatur, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, parents and son-in-law, Virgil Ware.
