this is the first time i saw bill in over 35 years. And it was his obit. His picture looks really good i always wondered how he looked when he got older.Me and Bill were best friends in the 70s and 80s. I sure did miss him, and i still do.He was my best man when i got married in 1975." We done it all together" and then some. I'm so sorry for his brothers and sisters , and, I remember Glenda and all of you very well .My heart will always have a special place in it for him. I met Bill about a year ago when he came out to estimate removing an old maple tree. I had him write his price for tree work on the back of his business card. When I looked at the front of his card I was amazed – you name it and he'd do it.One idea led to another and before he knew it he and Lisa were busy doing everything from pulling weeds, cleaning gutters, cutting ten years worth of growth off a huge, overgrown cedar bush(a.k.a.Carol's pet bush), removing and rebuilding a forty year old patio enclosure, cutting down the old maple tree, replacing missing shingles on the house roof and other misc. tasks.From the minute he arrived a year ago June up to and including mid-april, 2012 when he and Lisa mowed for the first (and last) time this year what I found most endearing and enduring about Bill was his positive attitude, friendly nature (I really don't believe he would have knowingly offended anyone) and kind demeanor. Bill was conscientious and careful about his work but the one idea that I believe he valued most and displayed in relating to people was "Kindness Matters." I honestly believe Bill was one of the most caring and real gentlemen I have known. there is no doubt he will be sorely and certainly missed.
God Bless you richly. It will be very hard but you are a very strong little lady and GOD will be right there beside you, believe me you just can't make it without him. Charles is with JESUS, be confident with that.
Bama was a great careing loveing man. He's gone but not forgotten. He's in our prayer. Lisa you did a great job taken good care of him. Tho he's gone stil keep your head up and stay strong for him. We all love you!
I didn't know Charles very well but I knew and worked with Lisa and knew they shared a very special bond. They were good for each other and he will surely be missed by all.My deepest and most sincere sympathies go out to Lisa and all family!Jerry
