Charles R. Larimer's Obituary
Peoria- Charles 'Rusty' Larimer, 88, of Peoria, formerly of Decatur, passed away Monday, September 24, 2012, at Rosewood Care Center in Peoria, Illinois.
A service to celebrate the life of Rusty will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 29, 2012, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, with a visitation from 11:00 a.m. till the time of the service. Interment to be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Humane Society of Decatur.
Rusty was born September 10, 1924, in New Lexington, Ohio, the son of William and Iva Mae (Bell) Larimer. He proudly served his country in the USMC during WWII. Rusty was a member of the United Mine Workers Union for 60 years and worked for Associated Electric for 45 years. He married Theresa Hobson on June 15, 2004.
He is survived by his wife, sons; James (Deanna) Larimer, and David (Jo) Larimer; daughter, Karla Morris; step-children, Diane (Dick) Rusk, Carol (Bill) Barker, Mike (Sandy)Hobson, Russ Hobson, Chris (Pam) Hobson, Sue (Dave) Walsh, Barbara (Doyle) Whiting, Teresa (Earsel) Alloway, Nancy Pleasant, and Tim Hobson, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, and many step-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Rusty was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, three sisters, wife Lila Lee, wife Margaret, son Bruce, and step-daughter Sharon.
