Wiley, Christopher's Obituary
Christopher (Chris) Michael Wiley, 63, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away July 6, 2026 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Chris was born in Decatur on October 24, 1962, the son of Robert Dean Wiley, Sr. and Mary Anna (Wiley) Smith. He graduated from East Park Baptist Academy in May 1980, went into the US Navy on July 4, 1980 and honorably discharged July 3, 1984. He worked for 25 years as a Millwright at ADM. Chris enjoyed bull riding, coaching baseball for the Meridian Youth League for his grandsons, and riding his Harley. He played guitar, sang and wrote music for the church, and attended Salem Baptist Church. Chris was the type of person who would help anyone with anything and everything whether you were family or not.
Chris is survived by his wife of 39 years Mary Ann (McCain) Wiley, mother Mary Anna Smith, brothers and sisters Timothy (Teresa) Sanders, Robert Wiley, Doug Wiley, Rhonda Rawling and Christy McQueen; children Brandon Grimm, Heather (Richard) Grider, Nikki Grimm, Courtney Tucker, and Rebecka (Bradley) Warnick. Grandchildren: Robert, Novelee, Billy, Chase, Savannah, Kolbee, Andee/James, Christopher, Jesse, Wylee, Bentley, Harlee, Drake, Jerzee, Carson, Elysa, Kal-El, Jaxson,and Axel. Great-Grandchildren; James, Khari, and Analeyah. Unofficial children; Jeff Beaman, Kareem Cooper, Willie Tucker, and Drew Reynolds. And many family and friends that were of importance in his life.
Chris was preceded in death by father Robert Wiley; two step-fathers Owen Sanders and Glenn Smith, sister Betty Sanders and first wife Diana Sawyer.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Macon. Visiting with family and friends will be from 4 pm to 5 pm and service from 5 pm to 6 pm.
