Dave was a loyal and very dear friend. From the day I arrived in town as a college student looking to connect with the friendly Morningside family, he drove the bunch of us to church and and for those 4years, and for 40 years since, we've kept in touch. My hubby and I are so glad to have enjoyed a great video call with Dave just last summer after one of his road (photography) trips. He had an incredibly generous heart, and tough spirit, persistence in doing the right thing and sticking by friends. He literally saved more than one life in his time.

David and I played on the Garfield Tigers back in 1973. We reconnected in 2009 at a memorial service for our coach, Mr. Sloan. David had a very dry sense of humor and always made me laugh! I hope he's at peace now! I will miss him greatly!
Dave was a part of our online men’s group through Southeast Christian. He made us smile often with his special humor. We learned not to greet him with the question “What’s new?” As his response would be “New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire…..etc”. He was an inspiration in his attitude to the end.
