Dave and Karen treated me like a member of the family. When I became a young mother they embraced my daughter as their own grandchild. She was small enough to sleep in a dresser drawer they fashioned into a little bassinet. And at Christmas they spoiled us and made us feel so loved. Dinner was always a favorite time and I spent many at their table. Once I had to call Dave and Karen when I found myself in a pickle. They drove over to Springfield to pick me up and took me to breakfast. There's nothing they wouldn't do for the people they cared about. I loved Dave's laugh and he did it often.
