I grew up across the street from the Gresham school ground. My memory of Dave is the day he told me that he joined the Marine Corps. He will be missed.
I have so many memories it would be hard to pick or summarize just one. Dave and I lived 3 doors away from each other. We went to the same Grade School and High School. We played tennis after service in the later sixty. His Brother Kenny was a friend to all and grew up with us.
I remember all of his family. His mother was kind enough to write to me when I was in Korea. May the lord grant David eternal comfort and peace and may the Lord comfort and bless his family.
My hope for those David loved is that you will smile sooner than later at memories of him and know that our Lord holds him close and grants him eternal rest. The last few years we reconnected from years ago at Calumet. He even made a trip to Silvis, Illinois to have lunch with me and Rick Espinoza. We toured “Hero Street.” It was a great visit. Last year we met up again at an informal class reunion BBQ. He could have only been a Marine! May God grant you all peace and comfort.
