So sorry to hear about Scotty passing. I’d run into Dave every couple weeks at Melisty. I wasn’t a player so I always thought to him I was just Boys brother-in-law. Surprised me when he called me by name. He sure loved talking about girls softball. Lean on your friends for strength. May God be with you.
Tina, I am sorry to hear about Dave. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
Tina and family, you have our deepest sympathy, thoughts, and prayers. May your beautiful memories bring you comfort. Dave and Pam Brobst

i felt an emptiness inside when i heard scotty had passed away.he was something very special to many softball fans. but he also holds a place in the hearts of the many of his friends that worked the ball diamonds out of the grounds crew shack at borg warner sports complex, known as ‘duncanville’.this group worked tirelessly to make the playing fields the best they could so that dave, his team mates and all the visiting players could have the best conditions possible,to play their games.dave, brent and some grounds crew personnel were so special to my father (Don Duncan..aka..dunc) that upon his passing (January 1988) these people were asked to serve and felt very honored to serve as his pall bearers because he was such a very good, dear friend of all the players.there are 2 people in the crew(that i am aware of)that have since passed away,so i would like to add their names because i think they would agree with what i have posted here.these 2 are Larry James and John Parker.if i have over-looked anyone i apologize and i believe the surviving members of ”the crew” will have their feelings about dave, brought forth at some time.with all this being said, i would like to add, RIP Scotty.. but not for long, because you are pitching game one in heaven ”my friend”…thoughts and prayers to the family.
