Dawn Marie Mowen's Obituary
Dawn Marie Mowen, 66, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, due to Covid-19.
Dawn was born August 10, 1953, in Decatur, to Donald Curtis and Estella Marie (Bilyeu) Sterling. She married Michael Mowen on March 3, 1973 in Decatur, IL.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Michael; her son, Brian Mowen; three sisters, Tari Peterson, Jody (Jerry) Cox and Lori (Dean) George; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Dawn devoted her life to her husband, son and family. She had a gift of compassion and enjoyed helping others. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Dawn will be private with burial at Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cancer Research Foundation 3354 N Paulina St., Suite 208, Chicago, IL 60657.
