My sincerest condolences to the Perry family. I had the great pleasure to spend time with Don and Andre as a child and teen. We especially loved to fish together, and I learned how to cast on his boat. I will never forget Don's jovial encouragement. He didn't even mind when I would cast into the trees! Always the jokester, he would pull me to the side to remind me that the fish were in the water, not the trees. ?? It was so kind of him and Andre to take an interest in us. We always had fun together. When I think of him, he is always laughing. May he rest in peace.Joanna Sinha

I am so thankful that I was able to visit with Don and Andre on several occasions over the last five years while my daughter Mary was attending Millikin University. The best part of my daughter going to Millikin was being able to reconnect with my dear friend Christine and her family. My daughter Mary was also sad to hear about Don's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family as well as the friends that will greatly miss him. Don was a man of wisdom, tenacity, and charm. I enjoyed visiting with him 30 some years ago while attending Millikin with Christine as well as in recent years. Don and Andree were very special people to Ray and I, and meant the world to so many. They were our sons' table parents at Logos (First Congregational Church) and took interest in their lives. We spent many many fun days with them on Beyers Lake in Pana, IL and will never forget them. We send prayers, condolences, and heartfelt love to Joe, Elaine, Chris, and all family members. Don Perry had to be one of my favorite people to sing for when I was with The Blackwood Brothers Quartet. Always loved visiting with he and Mrs. Perry in their home. Such wonderful people like these we rarely meet. God bless his memory. A great man
