Donald Louis Petrone's Obituary
Donald Louis Petrone, 85, of Decatur, passed away Friday, October 23, 2020, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Donald was born November 9, 1934, in Detroit, MI, to Clarence Louis and Margaret Katherine (Kotchis) Petrone. He proudly served in the United States Army for 38 years. He married Shirley Ann Worosz on August 26, 1962, in Indiana. She passed away December 26, 2009. Donald was an avid riverboat casino player and enjoyed his Tuesday morning coffee club.
He is survived by his three children, Kris Petrone, Donna Petrone and Daniel Petrone; his three grandchildren, Amanda Kittman, Aaron and Josh Petrone; three great-grandchildren; brother, Ken Petrone; and his sister, Shirley (Jim) Quackenbush.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley; and his sister, Denise Dahlen.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Donald Petrone will be 12 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday before the service at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Mary Queen of Angels Mausoleum in Graceland Cemetery following the service.
