Donald H. "Skip" Shull's Obituary
Donald H. “Skip” Shull, 65, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2015, in his home.
Skip was born August 22, 1950 in Decatur, IL, the son of George and Delores (Falk) Shull. Skip was a member of Duck Unlimited and a lifetime member of the N.R.A. He loved spending time outdoors and fishing. Skip married Merril L. Schell on July 6, 1973 in Decatur and they shared 29 wonderful years together. Merril preceded him in death on June 26, 2003.
Skip leaves behind his daughter, Jessica (Ron) Whitney of Illiopolis, IL; grandchildren, Benjamin Whitney of Illiopolis, IL; Peyton Whitney of Illiopolis, IL; brother, Daniel Shull of Blue Springs, MO; sisters, Patricia Swearingen of Lincoln, MO; Peggy Alderson of Rantoul, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Merril.
Services to celebrate Skip’s life will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials in memory of Skip may be made to Homeward Bound Pet Shelter.
