Dear Family of Doris Kinney, I had the pleasure of working with Doris at the Decatur Herald & Review for several years, working mainly in the newsroom as a typesetter and within about 4 feet of her proofreading desk. She was always very pleasant and had a sweet smile and was such a sweet lady. So sorry to hear of your loss and that she suffered from Alzheimer's at the end of her life. God Bless You All. Aunt Doris was a wonderful woman. She baby sat us Kenney kids and Kinney kids.When she and Uncle Wayne lived in Sullivan behind the Index store on the square,those were sweet wonderful times of laughter and love. She had a cat that wouldjump onto the countertop and turn on the water faucet to get a drink and then turnthe faucet off after getting a drink. A learned mind she had, intelligent, soft andhumble.
