Doris was my aunt and always the perfect gracious hostess and model of a genteel woman. I loved stopping to visit Aunt Doris and Uncle Carroll and Carol Lynn as we would travel from northern to southern Illinois, and a particular treat was when we occasionally could have a slumber party with Carol Lynn. I can still hear Aunt Doris gently admonish us after we had talked and giggled for hours after "lights out"…"Now Girls, you need to get some rest. Let's stop talking and go to sleep." I love you and will miss you until we meet again on heaven's golden shore.
