Emma Jean Voice's Obituary
Decatur – Emma Jean Voice, 93, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
Emma was born on November 30, 1931, in Tamaroa, IL, the daughter of Loren and Lucille (Marlow) VanHoorbecke. A homemaker and member of Central Christian Church, Emma was a Gold Master Bridge Player. She married Ed Voice on June 5, 1955, and he preceded her in death on March 22, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brothers Jack and Richard.
Emma is survived by her children: Karen (Mike) Gagnon of Decatur and Douglas (Melanie) Voice of OR; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a time, date and place yet to be determined. Private burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery.
