I had the great adventure of meeting Everett and Betty Inman on the Decatur Public Library's bookmobile, where I worked for years. Everett was a voracious reader and loved war stories and westerns, both fiction and non-fiction. It was my pleasure meeting and serving (both him and Betty.) He was a good man with solid convictions and lots of integrity, who loved and took great care of his family. I will miss seeing him at the library filling his bag with books. Now he is gone to the great library in the sky, where there are even more stories to read. RIP, Everett. I will think of you often.With much love and admiration.Shelley Whiteside

Mr. Inman was always so nice to the children in the neighborhood. I remember as a young adult he would be in the front yard playing catch with his son. When I would visit Decatur in later years I would see him out walking and stop to say hello. I'm sure he will be missed by all who knew him. Prayers for his children in this time of remembrance and grief.
