Decatur-Forrest L. Colley, 88, of Decatur, passed away at 11:45 a.m. Friday, December 17, 2010 at Fair Havens Christian Home with his family by his side. Services to celebrate Forrest's life will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 21, Read Obituary
Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are for your family today at the passing of Forrest. We always enjoyed seeing and talking to him at the Legion. His stories about his parrot will always be a wonderful memory. He always teased Steve about his cowboy hat and would whinny like a horse when he walked by him. We will not see a Reese's candy bar without remembering Forrest, and oh yes send home a Reeses for the parrot too. May God Bless him and welcome him with open arms.
I was privilaged to have met Forret in Akron Ohio. We worked there together then moved to Decatur. He was a true gentleman and a good buddy.I will miss him as atrue friend.May his soul rest in peace..
Please accept our sincere sympathy and prayers for Mr. Colley. I worked for Mr. Colley at Firestone for 30 years , a finer man you will not find. He was an excellent manager of maintenance at the Decatur Plant. We will miss him at the Legion and at Our Lady of Loudes.May he rest in the peace of his Lord.

We always talked & shook hands when our paths crossed at the American Legion Post 105. He always informed me how fortunate I was in having Mary Lou as my wife. He thought quite highly of her having worked together at Firestone. He was a special man to us.
