Coach Mac was one of my favorite coaches while a Spartan. He always had a funny story to share. He was a great man! Great family, my heart goes out to your loss!
Just wanted to say a words of thanks to Coach McKenzie for sharing his wisdom and knowledge with me while I was at Lakeview High school from 1975 to 1979. A wonderful man who took me firmly but gently by the arm one day and told me to give it my all on every single play and "make every play count." A great teacher and later a good friend. Blessings to the family and strength as we honor this homecoming service to a fine man. May the grace and love of Almighty God surround all who he touched and may God's Holy Spirit rest, rule, and abide in each of those who loved Coach Mac.My condolences…….Wayne Dunning
Coach McKenzie was one of the best people I have ever met. Great person, teacher and coach. He would praise me when I did well and would let me know when I goofed up. You never had to guess where Coach McKenzie was coming from and that is what I remember and loved most about him. Just a really good man who I will never ever forget.
Mr. McKenzie was one of my favorites. Nice sense of humor and a great teaching style. Susan Junge Peters (Lakeview '74 graduate)

I loved playing golf with Fred at Red Tail on Wednesday's. We shared a few beers afterwards. He had a great sense of humor and I'm sure he touched many lives as a teacher and coach.
