Frederick Raymond Saurmann III's Obituary
Frederick Raymond Saurmann III, 63, of Decatur, IL passed away December 17, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL.
Frederick was born August 9, 1955 in Decatur, IL, the son of Frederick Raymond and Dorothy “JoAnn” (Bolin) Saurmann II. He married Pamela Cox on September 23, 1978 in Decatur, IL at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
Frederick was employed as a quotation specialist with Graybar. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Frederick was immensely involved with the Boy Scouts of America, serving the Lincoln Trails Council as a Scout Leader, Commissioner, Camp Inspector, and served on the Eagle Scout Board of Review as an Advisor.
Surviving are his wife, Pamela; children, Frederick Saurmann IV (Melissa) of Decatur, IL, Amanda Manning (Jarvis) of Carson City, NV; sisters, Terry-Ann Saurmann of Arlington Heights, IL, Linda Saurmann of Milwaukee, WI; grandchildren, Ava, Amelia, Audra, Noah and Cora.
Memorial Service will be held 10 AM Friday December 21, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 PM Thursday, at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded.
