Carol Sue and Family, my brother Dave was in Decatur and saw Gary's obituary in the newspaper. Sorry to hear of his passing. I remember him when we were kids and your Mom used to drive us to school. Funny how things like that stick in your mind as we grow older. I remember your family well and send my deepest sympathy.
I was sorry to hear about Gary's passing & wanted to pass along my acknowlegment. I wont be able to attend the services due to my health. I received the notice from Father David Peters. I am Frank Friends oldest son.
We have know Gary for years. Bernadette and Gary were classmates at St Teresa back in the fifties. Gary was a delight to know. May he rest in peace.

I worked at Morgan with Gary from 1983 until he retired. The first two years at Morgan, I worked in the office. I often went out to the shop to get answers on orders. Gary was always helpful, and very bright. Even though I may have not known what I was doing, Gary was very patient, and always helped me get the answer I needed. The world would be a better place if more people were like Gary. I will always have found memories of Gary. Rest in Peace.

Amy,Such beutiful words about your dad they touch the heart. I am so glad to have met him I really didn't know him long but grew to like him very much. I will miss him everyday on his favorite stool and meeting you for lunch. I know there's not much I can say to ease your pain but many times he told me how proud he was of you and how he enjoyed those noon meetings.
